Mahmoud Eid (Ph.D., Carleton University) is a lecturer of international communication and research methods. Currently teaching and conducting research studies at the School of Journalism and Communication, at Carleton University in Canada, previously at Helwan University in Egypt. Professional expertise in quantitative and qualitative research about mass media effects and social development. Research interests and publications deal with various issues, including: Mass media and globalization; communication history; research methodology and communication research; modernity; crisis management and conflict resolution; and political economy of communication
